Low Carbon Initiative
Our Digital Commitment
Why a low-carbon approach?
At esf Saint-Gervais, we know that every snowflake matters and every breath of air is precious. With nearly 4% of global greenhouse gas emissions coming from the web, we’ve decided to act on our online presence.

Our website has been redesigned to reduce its impact, following a Low Carbon approach. Less clutter, more essentials: a fast, light, and smooth experience, designed to consume less while staying complete and welcoming!

Because protecting our mountains also means reducing our footprint in the digital world.
Less images,
more room to breathe!
Visuals are streamlined and optimised to reduce page weight.
Goal: less data loaded, fewer emissions.
We chose a darker theme.
The option to switch to dark mode to reduce energy consumption.
Goal: limit our digital footprint.
Quick access to essentials
A redesigned site to find every
information at a glance!
Goal: fewer clicks, fewer resources used.

Anti-Waste Operation
"Le Dernier Planté de Bâton"
Every spring, our esf Saint-Gervais instructors join the “Dernier Planté de Bâton” (the last pole planted) movement, a day dedicated to collecting litter on the slopes.

Alongside volunteers, the Tourist Office, the Syndicat National des Moniteurs de Ski, and Mountain Riders, we help restore the mountain’s natural beauty after winter. More than just a gesture, it’s a collective commitment to protect our playground and promote responsible tourism.

Because loving the mountains also means taking care of them!
Goal: Zero Wild Waste in the Mountains by 2030, everyone's involved!
